If you run a business of any kind, you must follow Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) rules on background screening. Even if you are hiring domestic help, you are held to the same regulations, and you cannot use CheckPepole.com to verify employment eligibility.

I run a small business and want to look up someone's credit or insurance history. Can I use CheckPeople.com for this information?

For credit and insurance history, you must comply with Federal and State laws; you may not use CheckPeople.com to look up someone's credit or insurance information.

Say the person I'm looking for doesn't have a criminal record - can I get a refund on my plan?

If you do a search and don't find a criminal record on a person, CheckPeople.com cannot provide a refund. Our service combs through public records - we can't predict whether people will have criminal records or not; we simply provide the public information to you.

I need to change my email address login or password. How do I do that?

Changing your email address login or password is simple. Simply log in to your CheckPeople.com account and click on the tab that says "My Home" and follow the links located in the left menu. From here, you'll be walked through simple instructions for changing your email address login, password, or both. If you forget your password when you go to log in to your account, simply click the "Forgot Password" button, and we'll email it to the email address you registered your account with.

How does CheckPeople.com monthly billing work?

At CheckPeople.com, we make people searches affordable and easily accessible for everyone. We believe that all of us deserve to have quick access to public records, both for personal searches and for personal safety. We offer three low-cost billing plans that are billed in full at the beginning of the term selected. Your plan will renew automatically at the end of your term, unless you cancel with us. Cancellation is simple -- just call our customer service team at at 1-800-267-2122 between 9am - 6pm, EST, and we'll cancel your plan so you don't get billed past your desired date. For whatever length of plan you choose, you'll receive unlimited searches.
